Standing up for a more socially responsible Singapore!

Dear friends
Please show your support to Catherine Xaria Tay, who wrote an article to urge the Singapore Prime Minister not serve shark fin soup at all government official banquets. Don't forget that government banquets are paid for using our tax money, so even if you may not support killing of sharks for mere fins, you may be indirectly funding shark fins for govt banquets, no thank you.
Now we just need 1 min of your time to click on the "like" button found at the top of this article (and to leave a comment if you like). She will be sending it to the Prime Minister once suffice support for her article is evident.

If you wish to make a difference by cutting down the consumption of shark fin soup (especially with the coming of peak at Chinese New Year), join Project: FIN's Facebook group page for updates and call-for-actions: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=271905012232
Contact projectfin.sg@gmail.com if you need more information / ready articles / facts and figures about shark finning.
As we draw close to Chinese New year (3 feb 2011), we are also seeking opportunities to screen the movie "Sharkwater" in schools (SINGAPORE ONLY). Sharkwater is a marine documentary that has won multiple awards and recognition, and it serves as good edu-tainment for schools. Please contact us if you are a teacher, or if you have contacts for schools which are open to screening Sharkwater during school assembly: projectfin.sg@gmail.com
If you have not caught the movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggtxA4wuXzY
Please spread the word. Thanks heaps in advance.
